In Tuesday's league challenge, the South Allegheny Gladiators (McKeesport, PA) basketball squad overcame the host East Allegheny Wild Cats (North Versailles, PA), by a count of 59-46.

With the victory, South Allegheny upgrades its record to 13-0 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to New Castle (New Castle, PA) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 12-2. New Castle won 54-47 in their recent league challenge against Seneca Valley (Harmony, PA)

Next up, the Wild Cats play the Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 4 challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. East Allegheny will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 47-43 league loss to Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA).
