Texas High School Basketball - Elgin can't hold off Pflugerville

The Pflugerville Panthers basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting Elgin Wildcats to 31 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 10-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cedar Creek for a 5A Region III District 23 contest on Friday, January 20. Pflugerville will battle a Eagles team coming off a 62-43 league win over Bastrop (Bastrop, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 15-11.

The Wildcats (6-19) will now prepare for their contest against Hendrickson (Pflugerville, TX). The Hawks enter the 5A Region III District 23 contest with a 20-7 record. In their last contest, Hendrickson was nudged by Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX), 71-53, in a league contest.
