In Tuesday's league outing, the English Valleys Bears (North English, IA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Tri-County Trojans (Thornburg, IA), by a count of 61-33.

The Bears (4-12) will now prepare for their outing against Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA). The Plainsmen go into the South Iowa Cedar outing with a 9-7 record. In their last outing, Belle Plaine was crushed by Keota (Keota, IA), 68-56, in a league outing.

The Trojans now hold a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Iowa Valley for a South Iowa Cedar outing on Friday, January 20. Tri-County will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 62-56 league win over Sigourney (Sigourney, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-9.
