In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Irwin County Indians (Ocilla, GA) basketball squad edged the visiting Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA), by a margin of 69-64.
The Indians (6-8) will now prepare for their outing against Bacon County (Alma, GA). The Raiders go into the A D1 Region 1 outing with a 4-7 record. In their last outing, Bacon County held off Atkinson County (Pearson, GA), 88-75, in a non-league outing.
The Purple Hurricane now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Cook for a AA Region 1 outing on Thursday, January 19. Fitzgerald will clash with a Hornets squad coming off a 62-59 non-league loss to Tift County (Tifton, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 3-11.
