The Grady Wildcats (Lenorah, TX) basketball felled the host Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX), 49-30 in Tuesday's league test.
The Wildcats (10-5) will now prepare for their test against Wellman-Union (Wellman, TX). The Wildcats go into the 1A Region I District 8 test with a 1-8 record. In their last test, Wellman-Union was beaten by Loop (Loop, TX), 1-0, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Dawson for a 1A Region I District 8 test on Friday, January 20. Sands will encounter a Dragons squad coming off a 62-17 league loss to Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 2-9.
