Grulla Gators (Rio Grande City, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Jubilee Brownsville Titans (Brownsville, TX), 44-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Grulla upgrades its record to 6-12 on the season. The Gators travel to Hidalgo (Hidalgo, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a 4A Region IV District 32 bout on Friday, January 20. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Hidalgo lost 45-44 in their recent league bout against Raymondville (Raymondville, TX)

Next up, the Titans clash with the Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 32 bout, on Friday, January 20. Jubilee Brownsville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Tarpons go into the bout with a 20-3 record after their 87-15 league win over Harmony School of Innovation (Brownsville, TX).
