Texas High School Basketball - Panhandle trounces Highland Park

The Panhandle Panthers (Panhandle, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Highland Park Hornets (Amarillo, TX), 60-37 in Tuesday's league test.

The Panthers (14-5) will now prepare for their test against Bovina (Bovina, TX). The Mustangs go into the 2A Region I District 3 test with a 13-9 record. In their last test, Bovina was trounced by Vega (Vega, TX), 49-48, in a league test.

The Hornets now own a 11-11 record. They play next when they host Boys Ranch for a 2A Region I District 3 test on Friday, January 20. Highland Park will encounter a Roughriders squad coming off a 68-38 league loss to Farwell (Farwell, TX). The Roughriders record now stands at 8-10.
