Independence Colts (Elko, NV) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wells Leopards (Wells, NV), 54-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season.
Next up, the Leopards clash with the Carlin Railroaders (Carlin, NV) in a 1A Eastern bout, on Friday, January 20. Wells will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Railroaders go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 43-35 league win over McDermitt (McDermitt, NV).
