Jackson County Central Huskies (Jackson, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Luverne Cardinals (Luverne, MN), 83-64 in a league bout.

With the victory, Jackson County Central upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA) to play the Midgets in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The Midgets come into the bout with a record of 8-4. Estherville Lincoln Central won 78-69 in their recent non-league bout against Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Windom Eagles (Windom, MN) in a AA Section 3 bout, on Friday, January 20. Luverne will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 118-88 league win over Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN).
