The Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Kingwood Park Panthers (Kingwood, TX), 59-44 in Tuesday's league test.
The Panthers (25-3) will now prepare for their test against Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX). The Dragons go into the 5A Region II District 16 test with a 16-9 record. In their last test, Nacogdoches notched a victory over Porter (Porter, TX), 44-32, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 10-16 record. They play next when they host Dayton for a 5A Region II District 16 test on Friday, January 20. Kingwood Park will encounter a Broncos squad coming off a 63-57 league loss to Huntsville (Huntsville, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 9-17.
