Texas High School Basketball - Kingwood Park topped by Lufkin

The Lufkin Panthers basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host Kingwood Park Panthers to 28 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 30-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nacogdoches for a 5A Region II District 16 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Lufkin will battle a Dragons team coming off a 49-41 league win over Porter (Porter, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 19-11.
The Panthers (14-17) will now prepare for their contest against Dayton (Dayton, TX). The Broncos come into the 5A Region II District 16 contest with a 9-22 record. In their last contest, Dayton was defeated by Huntsville (Huntsville, TX), 71-60, in a league contest.
