The Marblehead Magicians (Marblehead, MA) basketball nipped the visiting Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA), 63-58 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Magicians (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Beverly (Beverly, MA). The Panthers go into the Northeastern - Large test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Beverly got by Salem (Salem, MA), 74-40, in a league test.
The Chieftains now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Peabody Veterans Memorial for a Northeastern - Large test on Friday, January 20. Masconomet Regional will encounter a Tanners squad coming off a 67-43 non-league win over Bishop Fenwick (Peabody, MA). The Tanners record now stands at 8-2.
