The Porter Spartans basketball team (Porter, TX), dropped 44-32 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX)
The Dragons now possess a 16-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lufkin for a 5A Region II District 16 battle on Friday, January 20. Nacogdoches will confront a Panthers team coming off a 59-44 league win over Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 25-3.
The Spartans (8-17) will now prepare for their battle against Huntsville (Huntsville, TX). The Hornets come into the 5A Region II District 16 battle with a 3-12 record. In their last battle, Huntsville beat Dayton (Dayton, TX), 63-57, in a league battle.
