The Nacogdoches Dragons basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Porter Spartans to 41 in the Dragons league victory on Friday.
The Dragons now sport a 19-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lufkin for a 5A Region II District 16 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Nacogdoches will battle a Panthers team coming off a 47-28 league win over Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 30-3.
The Spartans (9-21) will now prepare for their contest against Huntsville (Huntsville, TX). The Hornets come into the 5A Region II District 16 contest with a 5-16 record. In their last contest, Huntsville prevailed over Dayton (Dayton, TX), 71-60, in a league bout.
