The River Mill Jaguars routed the visiting Southern Wake Academy Lions basketball team by a final score of 70-31 in Tuesday's league game.
In their next game, the Jaguars face the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers (Yanceyville, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, January 18. River Mill will attempt to move on its 8-9 season record. The Buccaneers enter the game with a 5-8 record after their 45-35 league win over Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC).
With the defeat, Southern Wake Academy moves to 2-13 on the year. The Lions host Clover Garden School (Burlington, NC) to confront the Grizzlies in a 1A Conference 13 battle on Friday, January 20. The Grizzlies come into the battle with a record of 4-16. Clover Garden School won 52-42 in their recent league battle against Woods Charter (Chapel Hill, NC)
