The Union Hill Bulldogs basketball team (Gilmer, TX), was overwhelmed 56-34 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Saltillo Lions (Saltillo, TX)

The Lions now possess a 19-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sulphur Bluff for a 1A Region III District 24 battle on Friday, January 20. Saltillo will confront a Bears team coming off a 47-35 league win over Union Hill (Gilmer, TX). The Bears record now stands at 12-14.

The Bulldogs (8-8) will now prepare for their battle against Bloomburg (Bloomburg, TX). The Wildcats come into the 1A Region III District 24 battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, Bloomburg was overwhelmed by Avinger (Avinger, TX), 61-31, in a league battle.
