Georgia High School Basketball - Academy for Classical Education thwarts Southwest

The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA), 59-40 in Tuesday's league test.
The Gryphons (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Greenwave go into the AA Region 2 test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, Spencer went down by Central (Macon, GA), 63-25, in a league test.
The Patriots now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Central for a AA Region 2 test on Friday, January 20. Southwest will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 63-25 league win over Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Chargers record now stands at 16-1.
