Belleview Rattlers (Belleview, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lake Weir Hurricanes (Ocala, FL), 56-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Belleview upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Rattlers host Citrus (Inverness, FL) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The Hurricanes come into the bout with a record of 3-11. Citrus lost 70-33 in their recent non-league bout against Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL)

Next up, the Hurricanes play the North Marion Colts (Citra, FL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Lake Weir will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Colts come into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 61-49 non-league loss to Vanguard (Ocala, FL).
