The Bertie Falcons basketball team (Windsor, NC), was overwhelmed 52-8 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC)

The Pirates now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gates County for a 1A Conference 2 battle on Friday, January 20. Perquimans will confront a Red Barons team coming off a 70-8 league win over South Creek (Robersonville, NC). The Red Barons record now stands at 8-7.

The Falcons (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC). The Knights come into the 1A Conference 2 battle with a 1-10 record.
