In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Handley Tigers (Roanoke, AL) basketball squad beat the host Central of Clay County Volunteers (Lineville, AL), by a count of 41-30.
The Tigers (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against Valley (Valley, AL). The Rams go into the non-league outing with a 4-12 record. In their last outing, Valley defeated Booker T. Washington (Tuskegee, AL), 33-31, in a non-league outing.
The Volunteers now hold a 10-10 record. They play next when they host Jemison for a 5A Area 8 outing on Friday, January 20. Central of Clay County will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 39-31 league win over Shelby County (Columbiana, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 8-5.
