Clayton Clippers (Clayton, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Pitman Panthers (Pitman, NJ), 47-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Clayton upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Clippers host Salem (Salem, NJ) to play the Rams in a Tri-County - Classic bout on Thursday, January 19. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Salem lost 55-38 in their recent league bout against Gloucester Catholic (Gloucester City, NJ)

Next up, the Panthers play the Gloucester City Lions (Gloucester City, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Pitman will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 54-12 non-league loss to Sterling (Somerdale, NJ).
