Panhandle Panthers (Panhandle, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Highland Park Hornets (Amarillo, TX), 75-15 in a league bout.

With the victory, Panhandle upgrades its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Bovina (Bovina, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 2A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, January 20. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 1-8. Bovina lost 53-33 in their recent league bout against Vega (Vega, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Boys Ranch Roughriders (Boys Ranch, TX) in a 2A Region I District 3 bout, on Friday, January 20. Highland Park will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Roughriders come into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 72-16 league loss to Farwell (Farwell, TX).
