The Liberty Lions (Jackson, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Monmouth Regional Falcons (Tinton Falls, NJ), 27-25 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Lions (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Ocean Township (Oakhurst, NJ). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 12-1 record. In their last test, Ocean Township got by Donovan Catholic (Toms River, NJ), 59-34, in a non-league test.
The Falcons now own a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Lakewood for a non-league test on Thursday, January 19. Monmouth Regional will encounter a Piners squad coming off a 57-13 non-league loss to Shore Regional (West Long Branch, NJ). The Piners record now stands at 0-8.
