Monmouth Regional Falcons (Tinton Falls, NJ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Liberty Lions (Jackson, NJ), 49-23 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Monmouth Regional upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Lakewood (Lakewood, NJ) to play the Piners in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 22. The Piners come into the bout with a record of 0-2. Lakewood lost 68-6 in their recent non-league bout against Shore Regional (West Long Branch, NJ)

Next up, the Lions play the Ocean Township Spartans (Oakhurst, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 36-23 non-league win over Donovan Catholic (Toms River, NJ).
