Round Valley Mustangs (Covelo, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Point Arena Pirates (Point Arena, CA), 56-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Round Valley upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to South Fork (Miranda, CA) to play the Cubs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Cubs come into the bout with a record of 3-8. South Fork lost 56-11 in their recent league bout against Ferndale (Ferndale, CA)

Next up, the Pirates play the Potter Valley Bearcats (Potter Valley, CA) in a North Central III bout, on Friday, January 20. Point Arena will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Bearcats come into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 63-49 league loss to Mendocino (Mendocino, CA).
