Round Valley Mustangs (Covelo, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Point Arena Pirates (Point Arena, CA), 42-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Round Valley upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Mustangs host Anderson Valley (Boonville, CA) to clash with the Panthers in a North Central III bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Anderson Valley won 42-21 in their recent league bout against Laytonville (Laytonville, CA)

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Potter Valley Bearcats (Potter Valley, CA) in a North Central III bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Point Arena will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 46-43 league loss to Mendocino (Mendocino, CA).
