The Richards Bulldogs (Oak Lawn, IL) basketball nipped the host Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL), 40-33 in Tuesday's league test.
The Bulldogs (8-13) will now prepare for their test against Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL). The Meteors go into the South Suburban - Blue test with a 7-19 record. In their last test, Thornton Fractional North got by Evergreen Park (Evergreen Park, IL), 92-49, in a non-league test.
The Astros now own a 13-7 record. They play next when they travel to Blue Island Eisenhower for a South Suburban - Red test on Tuesday, January 24.
