Tiftarea Academy Panthers (Chula, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Valwood Valiants (Valdosta, GA), 67-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Tiftarea Academy upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Brookwood (Thomasville, GA) to clash with the Warriors in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 bout on Friday, January 20. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 11-8. Brookwood lost 58-15 in their recent league bout against Deerfield-Windsor (Albany, GA)

Next up, the Valiants clash with the Open Bible Christian (Valdosta, GA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Valwood will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 36-15 league win over Northside Christian Academy (Starke, FL).
