Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), 53-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pisgah upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Bears host Franklin (Franklin, NC) to play the Panthers in a bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 11-2.

Next up, the Mustangs play the North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Smoky Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 43-33 league loss to West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).
