Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) and the visiting Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), saw Mount Pleasant's basketball squad wallop Albemarle by a count of 64-36.

With the victory, Mount Pleasant upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to North Stanly (New London, NC) to play the Comets in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley challenge on Friday, January 19. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 12-3. North Stanly won 63-17 in their recent league contest against Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC)

The Bulldogs (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Knights enter the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, Gray Stone Day was routed by Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy (Huntersville, NC), 61-59, in a non-league contest.
