Del Lago Academy Firebirds (Escondido, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Classical Academy Caimans (Escondido, CA), 81-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Del Lago Academy upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Firebirds host Tri-City Christian (Vista, CA) to play the Eagles in a Ocean bout on Saturday, January 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 13-7.

Next up, the Caimans play the Coastal Academy Stingrays (Oceanside, CA) in a Ocean challenge, on Friday, January 19. Classical Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-15 season record. The Stingrays come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 70-31 league loss to Tri-City Christian (Vista, CA).
