The Latin Romans (Chicago, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Northridge Knights (Niles, IL), 71-65 in Wednesday's league test.

The Romans (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Lake Forest Academy (Lake Forest, IL). The Caxys go into the Independent School test with a 5-11 record. In their last test, Lake Forest Academy was tipped by Carmel (Mundelein, IL), 59-41, in a non-league test.

The Knights now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Francis W. Parker for a Independent School test on Friday, January 19. Northridge will encounter a Colonels squad coming off a 78-43 non-league loss to Taft (Chicago, IL). The Colonels record now stands at 1-9.
