Roosevelt Rough Riders (Honolulu, HI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host McKinley Tigers (Honolulu, HI), 49-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Roosevelt upgrades its record to 5-13 on the season. The Rough Riders travel to Moanalua (Honolulu, HI) to play the Menehune in a Oahu - East I bout on Friday, January 19. The Menehune go into the bout with a record of 7-18. Moanalua lost 67-50 in their recent league bout against Kailua (Kailua, HI)

Next up, the Tigers play the Kaiser Cougars (Honolulu, HI) in a Oahu - East II bout, on Friday, January 19. McKinley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record.
