The Rio Hondo Bobcats basketball team scored 92 points and restricted the host Monte Alto Blue Devil to 54 in the Bobcats league victory on Wednesday.

The Bobcats now sport a 15-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Santa Rosa for a 3A Region IV District 32 contest on Friday, January 19. Rio Hondo will battle a Warriors team coming off a 63-53 league win over IDEA Weslaco Pike (Weslaco, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 15-12.

The Blue Devil (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Progreso (Progreso, TX). The Red Ants come into the 3A Region IV District 32 contest with a 3-15 record. In their last contest, Progreso was routed by IDEA Sports Park (Brownsville, TX), 55-53, in a league contest.
