Sutherlin Bulldogs (Sutherlin, OR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Rogue River Chieftains (Rogue River, OR), 43-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Sutherlin upgrades its record to 3-11 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to St. Mary's (Medford, OR) to play the Crusaders in a 3A Far West bout on Friday, January 19. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 6-8. St. Mary's lost 54-48 in their recent league bout against Douglas (Winston, OR)

Next up, the Chieftains play the Glide Wildcats (Glide, OR) in a 3A Far West bout, on Saturday, January 20. Rogue River will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 54-40 league loss to North Valley (Grants Pass, OR).
