Sutherlin Bulldogs (Sutherlin, OR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rogue River Chieftains (Rogue River, OR), 53-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sutherlin upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Bulldogs host La Pine (La Pine, OR) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 2-3. La Pine won 70-52 in their recent non-league bout against South Umpqua (Myrtle Creek, OR)

Next up, the Chieftains play the Cascade Christian Challengers (Medford, OR) in a 3A Far West bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Rogue River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Challengers go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 41-37 non-league loss to Milo Adventist Academy (Days Creek, OR).
