The Aniak Halfbreeds basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Kalskag Grizzly Bears to 24 in the Halfbreeds league victory on Wednesday.

The Halfbreeds now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kalskag for a 1A Greater Kuskokwim contest on Thursday, January 18. Aniak will battle a Grizzly Bears team coming off a 48-24 league loss to Aniak (Aniak, AK). The Grizzly Bears record now stands at 0-1.

The Grizzly Bears (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Akiak (Akiak, AK). The Thunderbolts come into the 1A Greater Kuskokwim contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Akiak was routed by Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial (Kwethluk, AK), 52-23, in a non-league contest.
