Texas High School Basketball - Eastland fells Early

January 17, 2024: Early, TX 76802

Eastland Mavericks (Eastland, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Early Longhorns (Early, TX), 52-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Eastland upgrades its record to 20-5 on the season. The Mavericks host Peaster (Peaster, TX) to clash with the Greyhounds in a 3A Region I District 8 bout on Friday, January 19. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 9-18. Peaster lost 63-14 in their recent league bout against Comanche (Comanche, TX)

Next up, the Longhorns clash with the Dublin Lions (Dublin, TX) in a 3A Region I District 8 bout, on Friday, January 19. Early will attempt to upgrade on its 10-15 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 6-15 record after their 85-17 league loss to Brock (Brock, TX).
