The Cougars (21-4) will now prepare for their outing against Grapeland (Grapeland, TX). The Sandies go into the 2A Region III District 20 outing with a 10-10 record. In their last outing, Grapeland was beaten by Lovelady (Lovelady, TX), 56-41, in a league outing.

The Indians now own a 6-20 record. They play next when they travel to Latexo for a 2A Region III District 20 outing on Friday, January 19. Groveton will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 42-36 league loss to Centerville (Centerville, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 2-12.
