With the victory, Leon improves its record to 25-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host Grapeland (Grapeland, TX) to confront the Sandies in a 2A Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Sandies come into the challenge with a record of 12-13. Grapeland lost 80-30 in their recent league challenge against Lovelady (Lovelady, TX)

Next up, the Indians confront the Latexo Tigers (Latexo, TX) in a 2A Region III District 20 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Groveton will attempt to improve on its 8-23 season record.
