Ridgeview Mustangs (Colfax, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Heyworth Hornets (Heyworth, IL), 48-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ridgeview upgrades its record to 9-13 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL) to play the Falcons in a Heart Of Illinois bout on Monday, January 22. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 14-6. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley lost 39-35 in their recent non-league bout against Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL)

Next up, the Hornets play the Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) in a Heart Of Illinois bout, on Monday, January 22. Heyworth will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 65-58 non-league win over Tremont (Tremont, IL).
