The Midland Valley Mustangs basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting South Aiken Thoroughbreds to 18 in the Mustangs league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Augusta for a contest on Thursday, January 18. Midland Valley will meet a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 57-12 non-league win over Airport (West Columbia, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 8-1.

The Thoroughbreds (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Aiken (Aiken, SC). The Fighting Green Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Aiken was routed by Midland Valley (Graniteville, SC), 41-14, in a league contest.
