The South Aiken Thoroughbreds basketball team (Aiken, SC), was overwhelmed 34-8 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC)

The Mustangs now possess a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Augusta for a battle on Monday, February 5. Midland Valley will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 49-23 league win over Airport (West Columbia, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 12-1.

The Thoroughbreds (3-9) will now prepare for their battle against Aiken (Aiken, SC). The Fighting Green Hornets come into the battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Aiken was overwhelmed by Lexington (Lexington, SC), 42-6, in a non-league battle.
