Virginia High School Basketball - Abingdon holds off Gate City

The Abingdon Falcons basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Gate City Blue Devils to 46 in the Falcons league triumph on Friday.
The Falcons now have a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Prestonsburg for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. Abingdon will confront a Blackcats team coming off a 84-71 non-league loss to Phelps (Phelps, KY). The Blackcats record now stands at 4-6.
With the loss, Gate City falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Blue devils host David Crockett (Jonesborough, TN) to confront the Pioneers in a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. The Pioneers go into the game with a record of 12-5. David Crockett won 75-64 in their recent league game against Elizabethton (Elizabethton, TN)
