The Blue Mountain Eagles basketball squad (Schuylkill Haven, PA), was crushed 67-34 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Minersville Battlin' Miners (Minersville, PA)

With the victory, Minersville advances its record to 13-2 on the year. The Battlin' Miners host Schuylkill Haven (Schuylkill Haven, PA) to meet the Hurricanes in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18. The Hurricanes enter the battle with a record of 6-9. Schuylkill Haven lost 73-50 in their recent league battle against Nativity BVM (Pottsville, PA)

The Eagles now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tamaqua for a Schuylkill County 1 battle on Tuesday, January 21. Blue Mountain will meet a Blue Raiders squad coming off a 69-58 non-league loss to Lehighton (Lehighton, PA). The Blue Raiders record now stands at 5-12.
