North Carolina High School Basketball - Carolina International nips Jackson Day

January 17, 2025: Concord, NC 28027

In Friday's league contest, the host Carolina International Comets basketball team scored a close 72-66 triumph over the Jackson Day Mariners.

The Comets (13-4) will now prepare for their contest against Mountain View Prep (Spartanburg, SC). The Stars go into the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Mountain View Prep nipped Chapman (Inman, SC), 57-51, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Mariners battle the Valor Preparatory Academy Owls (Concord, NC) in a 1A Metro 8 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Jackson Day will attempt to advance on its 2-13 season record. The Owls enter the battle with a 5-11 record after their 64-52 league loss to Sugar Creek Charter (Charlotte, NC).
