In Friday's league contest, the host Clarke County Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 64-59 win over the Chickasaw Chieftains.
The Bulldogs (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Jackson (Jackson, AL). The Aggies come into the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Jackson edged Southern Choctaw (Gilbertown, AL), 76-35, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Chieftains battle the Washington County Bulldogs (Chatom, AL) in a 2A Area 1 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Chickasaw will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 8-9 record after their 56-48 league loss to Clarke County (Grove Hill, AL).
