In Friday's league contest, the host Southwind Jaguars basketball team scored a big 72-38 win over the Cordova Wolves.

The Jaguars (12-4) will now prepare for their bout against Houston (Germantown, TN). The Mustangs go into the 4A District 15 bout with a 15-5 record. In their last bout, Houston crushed Collierville (Collierville, TN), 85-69, in a league bout.

With the loss, Cordova falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to PURE Academy (Memphis, TN) to play the Athletes in a non-league bout on Monday, January 20. The Athletes go into the bout with a record of 0-12. PURE Academy lost 66-51 in their recent non-league bout against Briarcrest Christian (Eads, TN)
