The Douglass Astros basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host Stephenson Jaguars to 44 in the Astros league triumph on Friday.
The Astros now have a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Jonesboro for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. Douglass will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 65-62 league win over Griffin (Griffin, GA). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-5.
With the loss, Stephenson falls to 5-10 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Stone Mountain (Stone Mountain, GA) to confront the Pirates in a AAA Region 5 game on Saturday, January 18. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 3-9. Stone Mountain lost 69-46 in their recent league game against Riverdale (Riverdale, GA)
