The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA) and the visiting Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA), observed Oil City's basketball team knock off Franklin by a score of 61-42.

The Oilers (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Conneaut Area (Linesville, PA). The Eagles come into the District 10 Region 5 challenge with a 8-5 record.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Seneca Bobcats (Erie, PA) in a District 10 Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Franklin will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 62-37 non-league loss to Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA).
